The staff at the main entrance are wonderful and always greet you with a smile and “how are you”! I would like to specifically mention the staff at the Garden Level. Their jobs are very challenging and demanding.

No one makes sure the residents are hydrated and eat properly. When I've complained of other residents who are bothersome to my Grandma, they reply "we'll be drugging him/her soon" DO NOT PUT A LOVED ONE HERE unless its for short term rehab. DONT ALLOW ELDERLY LOVED ONES HERE, unless you don't love your elderly relatives. My family member has been at St. Cabrini Nursing Home for several years. We looked around and had a hard time finding a place that really met her needs. When she got into St. Cabrini Nursing Home we felt like our prayers had been answered.
Not only that, they lied to me about the bandage ever being on!!! My mother now has a repeated, huge blood clot in this same leg and is hospitalized; it affected her heart and with the test they gave her, had a heart attack. In addition to this serious injury that is life-threatening, Cabrini has absolutely the worst food you could possibly want, especially if you're trying to recuperate.

When I didn't eat because I did not like what was brought to me, I would go to the coffee shop & get whatever I wanted. The fact that the facility had a coffee shop on the premises blew my mind! Obviously I couldn't walk when I first arrived. The aides would answer the call button very quickly.
I thought I had already posted a review, but now I can't find it. During that time she was surrounded by so many wonderful people who took excellent care of her and always had a kind word for Mom. I am a nurse and very critical of health care facilities. Mom never developed a bedsore or other complications of immobility often seen in nursing homes. They always included her in the daily activities even when she was reluctant.

I have been to Cabrini nursing home many times over the past couple of years to visit someone. This place is by far the best facility that my loved one has been in. There are activities going on through out the facility that you can pick and choose to go to. The food is not bad, the staff is friendly- don't get me wrong, I know there are issues, but there are issues everywhere.
I’m sure Covid, in some regards, has to play a factor. Sadly I’ve accepted that he won’t be leaving Cabrini and he is getting good care. I have encountered the kindest staff on all accounts.
